AMHN, Inc. AMHN, Inc. Announces Installation Update for America’s Minority Health Network
2010 MAY 15 – (VerticalNews.com) — AMHN, Inc. (OTCBB: AMHN) (the “Company”), parent company of America’s Minority Health Network, Inc. (”America’s Minority Health Network” or the “Company’s subsidiary”), is the only place-based provider of digital video education for medical practices who primarily serve the African-American population in the United States.
The Company’s Chief Executive Officer, Robert Cambridge, stated, “America’s Minority Health Network recently subscribed its 160th location and 140 locations are installed and receiving programming. Our viewers currently see more than 40 health education segments on a variety of health issues. Our segments are designed to promote healthy lifestyle choices and are interspersed with advertising relevant to this underserved minority market. Increasing the size of our network also increases our advertising base which will lead to the revenues needed for further expansion.”
Mr. Cambridge recently attended a Digital Signage Expo (DSE) conference at which America’s Minority Health Network was an exhibitor. At the conference, a panel of DSE executives held a question and answer session about the industry. One question asked what company had the most effective digital signage installation and/or digital out-of-home advertising campaign in 2009 and what made it so effective. Philip Cohen, a leader in the place-based media industry answered, “America’s Minority Health Network launched in 100 doctors offices serving primarily African-American patients in the fall of 2009 with no fanfare. Shaneeka James, their network president, coordinated a Seatac Digital Technologies integrative deployment of Samsung Monitors, Enqii software and media players with content from Saddle Ranch Productions. They were signed with See Saw and, based on OVAB [Out-of-home Video Advertising Bureau] guidelines, immediately began airing commercials from General Motors, Paraguard and Bank of America. Kudos to a professional start-up that just plain did things right.”
