Dallas, Texas (July 20, 2011) – StockGuru shines its Spotlight on Amarillo Biosciences, Inc. (ABI) (OTCBB: AMAR) upon the announcement that it has formed an alliance with Bio-Stasis International, Inc., a dietary supplement internet marketer, to launch Bio-Stasis International’s Virapress. Bio-Stasis plans to embark on an extensive internet marketing program for Virapress on August 1, 2011, targeting alternative and complimentary medical practitioners.  The Company closed at $0.065 in July 19, 2011, trading on volume of roughly 16,000 shares.

Virapress is a dietary supplement derived from a bovine protein extract produced by ABI and will be marketed with claims to improve health and enhance immunity. In parallel with Bio-Stasis International’s internet marketing campaign, ABI will market its bovine extract to health food stores and internationally under ABI’s brand name. ABI has already received serious inquiries about distribution rights from marketers in 9 different countries in the Middle East and Africa and has commenced negotiations on international distribution rights.

“We expect our internet marketing campaign to significantly increase the market for Virapress and, also, its primary ingredient, bovine extract,” said Lawrence H. Griffin, president, Bio-Stasis International.

Virapress has not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration, and should not take the place of a regular medical evaluation by a licensed health practitioner.

On Friday, the company put out news announcing that Dr. Manfred Beilharz, Chair of Microbiology and Immunology, School of Biomedical, Biomolecular and Chemical Sciences, The University of Western Australia, has submitted a final report on the recently completed 200 subject low-dose oral interferon (IFN) Phase 2 clinical trial in Perth, Australia. Dr. Beilharz was one of two principal investigators of the study for which ABI provided the oral interferon. The report, sent to the State Health Research Advisory Council of the Department of Health, Western Australia (DOH WA) evaluated the drug’s safety and efficacy in combating colds and influenza. On Thursday, the company put out news announcing that its ongoing study of oral interferon as prevention/treatment of influenza and other respiratory illnesses in Perth, Australia is nearing completion. A total of 200 healthy volunteers were enrolled in this Phase 2 clinical trial to take oral interferon or placebo lozenges once daily for 16 weeks, followed by 4 weeks of post-treatment observation. The treatment phase of the study was successfully concluded in November with over 80% of the volunteers completing 16 weeks of study medication. All subjects are scheduled to complete the 4 weeks of post-treatment observation by the end of the year.
